Core Web Vitals lab test

Google's Core Web Vitals are LCP, INP and CLS. PageGauge runs Lighthouse through Google PageSpeed Insights to report Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS), plus Total Blocking Time (TBT), the lab stand-in for Interaction to Next Paint (INP). You also get page weight and a request breakdown.

Try:

Desktop and mobile

Toggle the device before running the test to measure with Lighthouse's desktop or mobile profile. The throttling and viewport differ, and mobile scores are usually lower, so test the one that matches your audience.

See what's slowing the page down

The report also lists the biggest performance opportunities, such as render-blocking resources, oversized images and inefficient caching, each with an explanation of what to fix.

Frequently asked

Is this lab or field data?
Lab data. PageGauge uses the Lighthouse run from Google PageSpeed Insights, not real-user (CrUX) field data. INP needs real user interactions, so a lab test reports TBT instead. Use these numbers for debugging and before/after comparisons.
What's a good LCP?
Google considers LCP under 2.5s 'good', 2.5–4s 'needs improvement', and over 4s 'poor'.
